From where I stand, I hear beautiful music, and I'm humbled. To the artists who interpreted my original songs and musical vision with such power and beauty, words could never express my gratitude... Tim Akers, Luke Sullivant, and Jacob Lowery, I'm in awe of your commitment to the creation of exceptional music even in its rawest form. To my Grammy Award winning producer Bryan Lenox... Your tireless effort to challenge my technical skill and develop my emotional delivery has stretched me beyond my highest expectations. You have galvanized my belief that this is in fact my calling. Thank you brother. To my first writing partner Amber Caparas... Your unique approach to melody and word choice has launched a beautiful collaboration, and I believe this album is living proof. Our musical ventures always leave me hungering for more, and more. As you’d always say, “Johnny, your inner artist is showing…” Thank you sis. To my manager Wayne C... your vision and dedication to my growth as an artist and a man, and your leadership of our team, have been invaluable... You truly are an honest and steadfast weapon in the hands of God. Thank you brother. To my father John, my cornerstone, my first and highest musical inspiration... your charismatic personality and tireless vitality fuel my days and spark my fire to make beautiful music... You and Grandma Bunny taught me to put my full heart and soul into making beauty of every second of every day. Thank you for your divine inspiration to push me to do great things with my life. To my ever-loving mother Cheryl for never letting me forget who I Am... to all of my brothers and sisters, my family and my friends... too many to fit on this page... thank you for always believing in me. I love you all. And special thanks to Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Nigel Lythgoe for speaking destiny into my life... for the whole world to witness. There is freedom in commitment, and I am committed to reaching that destiny. To all my supporters... this is merely the first step in a new direction and I can't get there without you. Thank you for believing in me. Extra special thanks to Yamaha Artists and TobyMac for their hospitality, kindness, and Red Bull. And above all, thank you Lord for using all the people noted above... and for keeping me, saving me, and leading me. You are my Rock.

Track Name: Never Too Late
Hey baby girl, what’s been bringin’ you down? You were the one who used to shine. What brings you here, nevermind, I don’t care. There’s something I really need to say. Take my hand, I’m never gonna let you go, play your heart like the fool before, God only knows, your pain, but in time you and I will find it’s never too late, for love, love will find a way. It’s never too late, for us; chance we’re meant to be. So don’t walk away, I know you’ve had your doubts and most of them had to do with me. Oh but, since you’ve been away every season left me dyin’ for the day you’d finally let me in. (Chorus) So don’t walk away, I know you feel it too. Don’t walk away you know it’s never, never too late. Take my hand, I’m never gonna let you go play your heart like the fool before God only knows your pain, but in time I know we’ll find. Take my hand, I’m never gonna let you go play your heart like the fool before. God only knows your pain, but in time I know we’ll find It’s never too late, for love, love will find a way. It’s never too late, for us. I hope we’re meant to be.
Track Name: From Where I Stand
I used to think I had it all figured out, I became blinded and so undecidedly caught in doubt. I never knew how I let my loved ones down. Excuses I used and bridges I burned through left me to drown. Can anybody tell me what it’s really all about ‘cuz I don’t even know me, will I ever figure out? From where I stand, the mountains bring me down. How will I find my way around? I’m so afraid, but I would never show it. Wearing a smile all the while the inside of me, I’m breaking down. Can anybody tell me what it’s really all about cuz I don’t even know me, will I ever figure out? From where I stand, the mountains bring me down. How will I find my way around? I’m down on my knees. Can anybody tell me what it’s really all about ‘cuz I don’t even know me, will I ever figure out? From where I stand, the mountains bring me down God help me find my way around. Can you tell me what it’s really all about ‘cuz I don’t even know me, will I ever figure out? From where I stand, from where I stand, the mountains bring me down. God help me find my way around. God help me find my way around. God help me find my way around
Track Name: We Try
When we took the bite, we could hardly see. blindly following our serpentile brains and the semi-sweet fleeting memory leaves us searching for a love that I believed. Don’t ask me, cuz I don’t know, all I know is, I called it trying, but when I try I try just a little, far too little, not at all. I try just a little, far too little, til we fall. And the tender leaf, from another tree longs to break away, longing to be free, but the world is cold, stormy misery. We are wanderers, wanting to believe. Don’t ask me, cuz I dont know all I know is, we called it trying, but when we try we try just a little, far too little, not at all. We try just a little, far too little, til we fall. Don’t ask me, cuz I dont know, all I know is, we called it trying, but when we try we try just a little, far too little, not at all. We try just a little, far too little, till we fall, til we fall, fall, we fall.
Track Name: In the Bitter
One look as you walked on by, I just had to stay do a double take. Mesmerized. Captured by all we could be, wait around all day for the chance to say, “You’re Beautiful.” Give me some time love, tangled in ties love. Set me free. And save all your cries love, pray we can find love in the bitter In between, In between. Saying you were all I need, while the fears of mine that I hid inside, Magnified. I fall into your abyss with a gentle touch, a single kiss you’re letting go. Give me some time love, take back your ties love, Set me free and save all your cries love, pray we can find love in the bitter in between, in between. The love that we gave never returned, never returned, No, no, no. The love that we gave will never return in the bitter in between, in between. In the bitter so give me some time love, take back your ties love, Set me free and save all your cries love, pray we can find love in the bitter in between, in between in the bitter in between, in between. So give me some time love pray we can find love in the bitter.
Track Name: Selah
Where is my lover? she runs. Where has she taken cover from me? Leaving nothing good enough alone. Should I have known that she planned to toss me on the rocks like the sea? Crash another wave down to foam. Selah, Selah, when are you comin' back this way again love? Where in the world did you go? To taste wine so sweet, not to drink, to catch a glance but never behold, to try so hard but never to be. To turn on your mind to a dream believing that you have even more. Awake to find you're still all alone...and I say... Selah, Selah, when are you comin' back this way again love? Where in the world did you go? Selah, Selah, only you can make me feel this way love. I can’t believe that you’re gone. Where'd you go? (say goodbye my baby) Where'd you go? (say goodbye my baby) Selah, Selah, Where'd you go? (say goodbye my baby) Where'd you go? (say goodbye my baby) Selah. Selah. (Chorus) You’re my Selah, Selah, When are you coming back this way again love? Where in the world did you go?
Track Name: Early Morning Rain
Take a little bit of my heart and take a little bit of my soul and runaway. You used to, to love me, but every time you looked right through me, well okay. Got me listening to the early morning rain, It’s beating on my window about to drive this man insane. I’ve been missing you I really do miss kissing you my baby, don’t you, don’t, don’t delay. Take a little bit of my heart and take a little bit of my soul and runaway. You used to swear you need me, but all you ever did was bleed me, well okay. Got me listening to the early morning rain, It’s beating on my window about to drive this man insane. I’ve been missing you I really do miss kissing you my baby, don’t you, don’t, don’t delay. Over and over, I try and deny it but I know it’s true, I know it’s true. Over and over, I try to fight it but I know I’ll lose, I know I’ll lose. It must be good to be you, and it must be good to know I’m still thinking of you. Doesn’t matter what I say or what I do, ‘cause I’m simply wasting my time listening to the early morning rain, beating on my window about to drive this man insane I’ve been missing you I really do miss kissing you my baby, don’t delay. Why do you keep runnin? I said why do you keep runnin? ‘Til the early mornin rain.
Track Name: A Change is Gonna Come
I was born by the river in a little tent, Oh and just like the river I’ve been runnin’ ever since. It’s been a long, long time comin’ but I know a change gonna come. It’s been too hard livin’ but I’m afraid to die, ‘cause I dont know whats up there beyond the sky. It’s been a long, a long time comin’ but I know a change gonna come, Oh yes it will. When I go to my brother I say, “brother help me please.” But he winds up knocking me back down on my knees. Please! There been times I’ve thought that I couldn’t last it’s been a long. Now I think I’m able to carry on. It’s been a long, a long time comin’ but I know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will. It’s been a long, long time, but I know a change is gonna come, woah yes it will.
